Russia calls for honoring Deauville agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh

le=”text-align: justify;”>The Nagorno-Karabakh peace process remains active under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov stated at the OSCE Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Vilnius.

“We are calling on the conflicting parties to take advantage of the proposals formulated as a result of the contacts President Medvedev has been arranging over the past two years. In their joint statement in Deauville this May the Russian, US and French leaders re-affirmed the proposals,” Lavrov said.

The protracted conflicts in the OSCE area are high on the agenda of the Vilnius meeting.
