A leader of the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK), Murad Karaylan, has commemorated the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
“April 24 marks the day of massacres, exile and annihilation. The mass killings of Armenians 96 years ago marked the process of their cleansing. That is why the Armenian nations is scattered all over the world, whereas the denial still continues,” the Kurdish activist said. “Turkey has to confront its own past and history. Whatever the terming – massacre, genocide or exile – the consequences are the same: the Armenians were killed, marched to exile and cleansed. And the denial of such fact cannot produce any result. Today we extend our condolences to the Armenians and share their grief.”
