Opposition starts procession to Tsitsernakaberd

The opposition Armenian National Congress is organizating a procession to the Genocide Memorial.

Activists and supporters of the opposition alliance and several political leaders have gathered on Yerevan’s Freedom Square to start its traditional march.

The crowd will head towards Tsitsernakaberd with banners reading “No to the Zurich Deal”.

They will lay flowers on the Genocide memorial, paying tribute to the innocent victims of the 20th century’s first heinous crime against humanity.

Armenia’s first president and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan will join the procession in the vicinity of the Sports and Concert Complex.
