The International Cultural Bank, in collaboration with the Armenian Genocide Institute Museum, is launching a commemorative campaign to aid the Japanese people.
The initiative titled “Recalling our Grief, Realizing the Others’ ” proposes paying hommage to those who died in Japan’s disastrous earthquake and tsunami earlier this year.
At a news conference on Friday, President of the International Cultural Bank Karapet Zakoyan and programs manager Levon Iranyan introduced the joint project.
The authors of the initiative propose that all Armenians visiting the Genocide Memorial on April 24 bow in front of the memorial symbolizing the Armenian-Japanese relations. Visitors are requested to lay flowers and take notes in a memory book, as well as leave money in the donation box.
