Air streams with high dust concentrations came from Middle East

The high concentration dust in the air in Armenia has been caused by a massive sand cyclone in the Middles East.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said it was due to high winds that the warm cyclone was brought to Armenia.

The winds further moved the air stream with sand dust concentration to Georgia and then to some of Russia’s southern regions.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reiterated that the high concentration of dust in the atmospheric air is not the result of any incident.

Armenia’s Ministry of Nature Protection in turn said that the sand concentration in the atmospheric air exceeded the permissible lever by 1.7-1.8 times.  Read more... (135 words)
