World Longest Ropeway of Tatev Will Host First Visitors On October 16

Armenia's National Competitiveness Foundation executive director Bekor Papazyan and the members of the foundation have summed up "Tatev Renaissance" project results.

Bekor Papazyan said the official opening of the project will be set on October 16 which includes three principle elements – the reconstruction of Tatev Monastery, development of the communities and construction of tourism sub-structures. According to Bekor Papazyn, the greatest challenge to meet was construction of the ropeway.   

"I can say we have for 100% secure construction. The ropeway was tested and is ready to host its first visitors. October 16 is the technical opening of the ropeway, and a week later on 23 the ropeway will be completely working," Bekor Papazyan said.    Read more... (162 words)
