Yerkir Media TV Channel will not be closed down as it is doing something that others do not, member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s Bureau (Dashnaktsutyun, ARF-D) Spartak Seyranyan said at a press conference today, asked whether its closure was possible given the upcoming competition for airing licenses.
“Yerkir Media declined from airing programs ‘acceptable’ for the airing market,” said he, adding that the channel has put the accent on reverberating national and state issues in its programs.
Chief Editor of Beirut-based daily Azdak, Shahan Kandaharyan, in turn said that they are against closing any media outlet whether be on technical or political grounds.
