Petros Makyan: Mutual Concessions Needed to Resolve Impasse

Petros Makyan, President of the Democratic Fatherland Party, told reporters today that Robert Kocharian was primarily responsible for the tragedy of March 1.

Makyan stated that Serzh Sargsyan was also aware of what Kocharian was planning in order to deal with the civil unrest.

He said that he didn't predict a repeat of March 1 today, arguing that the regime had learnt the mistakes from the past.

Makyan argued that the only way out of the current political impasse was mutual concessions.
