According to Point 3 of Article 74 of Armenia's Law on the Constitutional Court, a presidential candidate or a political force nominated in national elections can appeal election results to Armenia's Constitutional Court (CC) the fifth day after the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) releases the final results.In the case of Feb. 18 presidential election in Armenia, the deadline for appealing the election results to Armenia's CC is March 2.However, Chairman of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian intends to settle the issue of applying to Armenia's CC to appeal the presidential election results the rally scheduled for March 2, to commemorate the victims of the tragic events in Armenia's capital on March 1, 2008.He intends to consult the participants.The CC press service reports that, despite the deadline set under the relevant law, if the applications are lodged at the weekend, they are taken for consideration the first workday after the weekend.Therefore, the de adline for Mr Hovannisian's application is March 4.
