The work of the "March 1 group" was stopped by the forces that did not want the crimes to be solved, Andranik Kocharyan, a March 1 group member, said during a Facebook conference organized by Azatutyun Radio. As soon as the group prepared its first report, Armenia's authorities showed signs of concern."I can name several persons that used their contacts to make an impression that the fact-finding group had problems within itself and tried to show it as an insuperable obstacle, for the only purpose of preventing the group's further activities. The reason was actually the release of the group's first report, which caused serious concern in the ruling circles," Mr A. Kocharyan said. The fact-finding group was formed on October 23, 2008, under President Serzh Sargsyan's order. On June 26, 2009, Armenia's president decided to stop the group's activities."We did our best in defiance of the president's order. They put obstacles not without reason to prevent us from getting the information they were horrified by. But I, and another group member, Seda Safaryan, got the information on the army that they were unable to dispute. I mean notorious order #0038 that proved the involvement of certain units of Armenia's armed forces in the March 1 events," Mr A. Kocharyan said.Robert Kocharyan, who was still Armenia's president on March 1, 2008, should wait for the day to explain the origin of the aforementioned order, as well as other orders, which claimed ten lives."The question is why Robert Kocharyan has not so far been interrogated. That is [get Robert Kocharyan interrogated] what the fact-finding group was unable to do," he said.  < /p> Armenian News
