Andrias Ghukasyan, a former candidate who held a 30-day hunger strike in the run-up to last month's presidential election and polled less than one percent of the vote, has also appealed the official outcome of the ballot at the Constitutional Court.
Ghukasyan, a 42-year-old director of Radio Hay, was the second candidate to do so after Raffi Hovannisian, who officially placed second with nearly 37 percent of the vote, also challenged the outright victory of incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, who, according to the Central Election Commission's final data, garnered the support of some 59 percent of the voters who went to the polls.
