RPA spokesman “threatens=?UTF-8?B?4oCdIA==?=to publish details of Sargsyan-Hovannisian talks

A spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has warned opposition leader Raffi Hovannisian to moderate his rhetoric or otherwise they will publish the details of the talks between him and President Serzh Sargsyan held last week.

Hovannisian walked up to the presidential compound last Thursday where he held tete-a-tete negotiations with the incumbent president, whose victory in the February 18 election he disputes, about ways of ending the post-election crisis.

The next day Hovannisian said Sargsyan had rejected all of his proposals to reach compromise, including the possibility of holding a repeat presidential election or snap parliamentary elections based solely on party-list representation. Punishing all election falsifiers, said the opposition leader, would have been a precondition for early parliamentary polls.
