The Armenian Police released today a statement relating to the activities of the Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian and his associates urging him to stop organization of events that may cause clashes.
The statement says that in the legal state the demands of the police should be implemented and only then may be appealed in relevant instances.
Referring to the claims of Raffi Hovannisian's headquarters that today's rally was urgent, the Police stresses that it was stated about its conduction still few days ago which comes to prove that the claims of Hovannisian's headquarters as if the rally was conducted in response to the developments created in the republic after Hovannisian's provincial visits are groundless. The police says that one cannot quote a part of the law and ignore the other stemming from own interests as the law provisions are complete. "Thus today's rally is illegal and may result in applying administrative punishment," the statement runs.
