The executive approved Thursday the proposed amendments to the Civil Procedure and Penitentiary Codes.
Speaking at the cabinet's meeting, a deputy minister of justice, Grigor Muradyan, said that the proposed reforms stem from the demand for ensuring a due process, especially at hearings held in penitentiary institutions.
Muradyan said his agency is needs an allocation equivalent to 42,550 Euros to settle disputes with the European Court of Human Rights.
According to him, the new clauses were proposed based on precedents in order to avoid similar disputes in future.
