The European Union will allocate €60 million to Armenia to promote judiciary reforms and an economic cooperation.
According to the Armenian service of RFE/RL, the new assistance program envisages training opportunities for institutions, as well as expert advice and opening of schools for future lawyers, judges and prosecutors to help build a transparent judiciary in the country.
Part of the financial assistance will be directed to the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area Agreement and visa relaxation accords.
Armenia's northern neighbor in the South Caucasus, Georgia, is also expected to receive an equal amount of aid which will be spent on agriculture modernization and food security programs.
Azerbaijan will get a smaller amount, €19.5, for launching reforms in the justice and migration sectors.
