The Hayk youth and student union, Heritage party, issued a statement on imprisonment of active members of the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC).The Hayk union regrets the fact the opposition activists are persecuted and imprisoned in Armenia.The union believes that the verdict against Tigran Arakelyan, Artak Karapetyan and others was "against rather than for Armenia."Each Armenian citizen must realize the problem as no one is secured against being jailed for his or her beliefs.The Hayk union assigns a special role to young people as "young people are our country's future and will build up Armenia."
