Armavia=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s flight delayed due to problem with jet=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s engine

St. Petersburg-Yerevan flight was not implemented yesterday because of the problems with the engine of the jet, Sara Tonoyan, mother of a passenger, told Gagik Shamshyan.

She said the flight was to be implemented at 1.30 pm but was delayed till 3 pm. Her daughter returned home with one-year old toddler and went back to get registered from 3-3.30 pm.

"They were on board the plane at about 5.30-6.00 pm. We were calling our daughter every time. Later she called me back and said something is wrong with the engine and the flight will be delayed," Sara Tonoyan said, noting that the passengers were taken to the airport only after they have complained of keeping them in the plane for so long.

After waiting in the airport for a long time, the passengers were told that the flight would not be implemented. Part of them were transported to hotel and the rest went home.

"In the morning the passengers were told to arrive to the airport. Some of them managed to arrive in Armenia via other jet that landed in Gyumri airport. The others remained in St. Petersburg. They were told to wait and hand their tickets while being compensated only 70% of the price which creates financial issue for buying another ticket. It is Armavia's fault. It should have given ticket for other day's flight," the passenger's mother claimed.

The official web site of Zvartnots airport has placed no information about the mentioned flight.
