Police responds to candidate Saribek Sukiasyan=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s electoral headquarters

le=”text-align: justify; “>Passports and visa department of Armenia’s Police responded to the application-complaint of candidate Saribek Sukiasyan’s electoral headquarters over thousands of inaccuracies in the voters’ lists.

According to the response, the Police have not registered any fact of illegal registration. ‘If people are not living in the mentioned addresses it is not a legal ground to withdraw them from registration. If the building where people lived has been destroyed, we cannot withdraw people from registration,’ Hovhannes Kocharyan, head of Police’s passports and visa department, told Tert.am.

‘If a person does not provide his/her new address in a written form we do not have any right to withdraw him/her from the existing address and register in another one,’ he added.
