On Thursday, the issue on 'Responsibility of the Government of Armenia' raised by Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF, 'Dashnaktsutyun'), by which ARF demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, was rejected for the second time by an overwhelming majority of votes.
The initiative of "no confidence in the existing Government" was rejected by 48 votes "against" and 13 "for", four MPs abstained. The Thursday vote was the second time the Dashnaks have failed to unseat the premiere. In May, a similar measure was voted down by 13-10.
ARF grounded its demand, saying that the Government is incapable to implement social-economic projects and improve the situation in Armenia, and according to ARF lawmaker Armen Rustamyan, "there are all grounds to insist that the Government with the support of the National Assembly does not fulfil its constitutional responsibilities."
