le=”text-align: justify;”>David Shahnazaryan, a member of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), held a meeting with journalists Dec. 8.
As to the reasons for the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) not responding to the ANC’s proposal for cooperation, he said that it was “a political scientific analysis” rather than a proposal. This “analysis” does not imply any response.
According to Shahnazaryan, the PAP itself needs to answer a number of questions. “Is the PAP able to get rid of Robert Kocharyan’s influence? Or has it got rid of a person that caused more trouble to the Armenian people than the Ottoman Empire and Azerbaijan taken together? Is the PAP able to act as an opposition force? Is the PAP ready to make a political assessment of the 2008 elections? Is the PAP ready to adopt the ideology of the ANC member-parties? Finally, is the PAP ready to secede from the coalition?”
