Police Arrest ‘Founding Parliament=?UTF-8?B?4oCZIA==?=Member Pavel Manukyan; Others Detained

Armenian police today arrested Pavel Manukyan, a member of the Founding Parliament (FP) organization, and have detained others, including Jirair Sefilyan, after a search of their apartments.

According to a statement released by the FP, those detained include Toros Sefilyan, a representative of the Lebanese branch of the Armenian Renaissance organization and Jirair Sefilyan’s brother, in addition to Varuzhan Avetisyan.

After this initial report, the FP says that police also searched the Vanadzor apartment of Hovhannes Ghazaryan and then detained him. The FP reports that police have also searched the FP’s office in Vanadzor.

Also detained are FP member Gevorg Safaryan and FP Gyumri representative Aram Hakoyan.
