Nikol Pashinyan: Arrests of Founding Parliament Members Baseless

Opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan has described today's arrests of several Founding Parliament members as baseless and downright wrong.

On his Facebook page Pashinyan writes that the Founding Parliament has repeatedly stated that it would not organize any protests in conflict with officially sanctioned April 24^th events and that charges by law enforcement that the organization was planning such actions were without merit.

Earlier today, the police searched the homes of several Founding Parliament leaders and arrested four individuals on charges of planning public disturbances on that day.
