Armenia Clinches 3rd Place at World Team Chess Championship

Armenia's men's team is on its way to win the Bronze medal at the 2015 World Team Chess Championship underway at the Armenian resort town of Tzaghkadzor.

This will be the fourth time the team has won third place at the games.

As we speak, the men's team is leading Egypt by a score of 2.5-0.5, thus guaranteeing 1 third place showing.

For the first time, it was China which walked away with the Gold. Ukraine came in second.

At the championship, Armenia's men's team has been victorious five times. It registered three loses and one tie. It trailed Ukraine by one point.
