Winners of international school Olympiads honored in Armenia

Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan on Wednesday received the winners of the recent international school Olympiads.

Extending his gratitude to the students and their teachers, the minister commended them for the "brilliant" results achieved at the recent Olympiads in astronomy and computer science.

Armenian students participating in them won a total of six medals, including one gold, one silver and four bronzes.

Overall, this year students representing Armenian schools have won a total of 16 medals at international competitions. Ashotyan emphasized that by the number of medals won per capita Armenia ranked high among former Soviet nations and in the world.
