Millionaire businessman and leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan has been a Person of the Year by a Russian establishment in an award that presidents of former Soviet countries, including Russia's Vladimir Putin, have won in the past.
The press service of the Russian Biographical Institute (RBI) announced on Thursday that Tsarukyan had won the title along with Governor of the Donetsk region of Ukraine Andrei Shishatski in the award category "Collaboration", reported the Yerevan-based Zhoghovurd daily.
Apart from Putin, winners of the RBI award in the past were also Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Kazakhstan leader Nursultan Nazarbayev.
