Government revises 2013 budget draft after lawmakers=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?= proposals

The Armenian government has reported some revision of next year's state budget draft that Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan said reflected several hundred proposals received from the National Assembly.

At the meeting of the Cabinet on Thursday Gabrielyan said the changes primarily concerned increases in certain items or redistribution in budget allocations.

The minister did not elaborate, adding that 67 out of 406 proposals were accepted, while 137 were rejected, another 202 proposals will be considered during further programs of the government.

The original draft submitted to the National Assembly earlier this month drew criticism from all minority groups that said they would vote against it. The parliament majority represented by the main ruling Republican Party of Armenia is in a position to pass the budget even without the votes of the minority factions.
