Today, the RA Appeals Court overturned a lower court ruling and has ordered the Hraparak newspaper to issue a public apology to Margarita Khachatryan, who heads the Zinvor organization.
Khachatryan had sued the paper for slander after it printed an April 2011 article alleging that she got into a shoving match with officers at an Artsakh military base she had visited.
The lower court threw out the slander suit last July.
The Appeals Court also instructed the newspaper to pay Khachatryan 14,000 AMD as court fee compensation.
