Founder and leader of the opposition Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian has renewed his election-related criticism of the government as he reacted to the most recent comments by Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan that the current president will face no serious challengers in his bid to win a second term in office in an upcoming ballot.
"Of course, I don't see today serious competitors of Serzh Sargsyan," Abrahamyan, a senior member of President Sargsyan's ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), said in an interview with the Armenian Service of Prague-headquartered Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty during a visit to the Czech Republic earlier this week.
