United States Supports Pre-School Renovation in Yerevan

On October 25th, Gerald Oberndorfer, Humanitarian Assistance Programs Director, EUR/ACE, U.S. DOS, Governor of Kanaker-Zeytun administrative rayon, Head of Department of Education of Yerevan Municipality and other Armenian officials and guests participated in the opening ceremony of the newly renovated kitchen unit and adjacent facilities in preschools in the Kanaker-Zeytun (No.153 and 151) rayon of Yerevan. The USG-supported renovation projects were implemented by International Relief and Development (IRD).

The pre-schools were constructed in the 1960s and required serious repairs. Over a three-month period, IRD implemented the two renovation projects with support from the U.S. Department of State.
