Sport: Tsaghkadzor to host first winter Pan-Armenian games

The Executive Committee of Pan-Armenian Games held its meeting in Larnaca, Cyprus, last week, deciding to hold the first competitions in winter sports among Armenians from around the world in Armenia's resort town of Tsaghkadzor in 2014.

In a press release issued at the weekend, the Committee said athletes in the Winter Games will compete in skiing, alpine skiing, snowboarding and ice hockey. Some other winter sports will also be featured in Tsaghkadzor outside the competition program, it added.

Besides, the Executive Committee also decided to include shooting, cycling, amateur golf and sport dancing in the program of the 2015 Summer Games. The Committee also added 50m and 100m butterfly and 4×100 relay events to the schedule of swimming, and high jump to the program in track and field sports.
