Russia and Turkey are conducting negotiations over the return of the confiscated Syrian air cargo, the Russian Komersant reports.
A diplomatic source speaking to the paper did not rule out the possibility of a cargo return but it said the Syrian pilot was not given a receipt when the plane was forced to land at a Turkish airport for a cargo check.
The Airbus A320 plane en route to Damascus from Moscow made the forced landing in Turkey on September 11. The crew was issued a flight permit nine hours later, but the cargo, which reportedly contained radar station components, was confiscated.
