PM: Armenian government keeps spotlight on Syrian conflict

The war operations in Syria and the possible scenarios are under the Armenian Government's spotlight, the prime minister has told the parliament members.
"It's quite a comprehensive issue which, naturally, is under the government's spotlight. In addition, we have corresponding institutions which conduct studies and submit observations and proposals. The matter is also in the limelight of the Armenian president, and we take action based on those studies," Tigran Sargsyan said at the National Assembly today, responding to Ruben Hakobyan of the opposition Heritage party,
But the premier refrained from revealing the nature of the measures taken. "There are questions that are not subject to a public debate, but we are ready to give a detailed description of the possible scenarios and our actions stemming thereof," he explained.
Sargsyan asserted that the views of the strategic partners (United States, EU, Russia) are being taken into consideration.
"So we are trying our best to properly assess the risks and challenges," he said, adding that the issue has been included in Armenia's National Security Concept.
