Armenian prime minister upbeat on 2013 state budget outlook

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan struck a positive note as he spoke about prospects of economic growth in Armenia in 2013 during state budget discussions that commenced in the National Assembly on Tuesday.

Sargsyan stressed that the 2013 state budget will pursue several goals, including maintaining high economic growth, improving the business and investment environments, ensuring macroeconomic stability, diversifying the structure of the economy, introducing changes in social policies, etc.

The government, according to its head, will focus attention on creating new jobs as well as on industrial policy projects. As part of these efforts, said Sargsyan, the government expects exports to grow in 2013.
