A dozen injured in Yerevan construction site collapse

An upper floor of a three-storey building being constructed in downtown Yerevan collapsed Thursday, with about a dozen builders injured.

Armenian Rescue Service spokesman Nikolay Grigoryan said that eight of the injured in what appears to be an engineering accident at the site at the intersection of Khanjyan and Vardanants streets were hospitalized. Their condition was assessed by doctors as "heavy".
