The opposition Republic party refrains from unveiling any details about its leader Aram Sargsyan's possible presidential nomination next year.
Speaking to Tert.am, a member of the party, Artak Zeynalyan, said they do not deem it tactically appropriate to issue any statement in that connection at present.
The party had earlier said it would decide its future plans and possible cooperation formats with other political forces by September. Asked to comment on the statement, Zeynalyan only said that Republic has held many discussions, particularly sessions since suspending its membership in the opposition Armenian National Congress. According to him, the party is to convene a congress in autumn.
It comes after the local daily Hraparak said in a recent report that Republic is going to launch active work in September, opening headquarters in all the regions of Armenia.
