The Ministry of Education and Science denies the reports that the secondary schools in Armenia are planning to return to the ten-year education system.
Speaking to Tert.am, an official from the Ministry's Public Relations Department said the three-degree system in the general education sector envisages a 12-year study program.
"Minister [Armen] Ashotyan has numerously addressed the issue. We have adopted to the 12-year system, with the general education in Armenia offering three levels of study – elementary school, comprehensive schools and high school," the ministry official said.
