Zaruhi Postanjyan, a Heritage parliamentary group member, issued a statement underlining the fact that Armenian voters living outside the country must enjoy the right to vote and be voted. So they must have the right to vote in the 2013 presidential election. The MP's statement says that the Armenian citizens' right to vote in the presidential election must be regulated by Armenia's law, and Armenia's relevant government agencies are supposed to ensure practical application of the law.Mrs Postanjyan calls on all the citizens to apply to the chairman of Armenia's Central Electoral Commission, Armenia's diplomatic missions for getting registered as Armenian citizens.
The Armenian government is obliged to create equal conditions for all the citizens enjoying the voting right. A citizen's application to the Constitutional Court of Armenia can be one of the steps.
