Monument to 2011 landslide victims opens in Armenia=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=s Tavush

Armenian Transport and Communication Minister Gagik Beglaryan participated in the opening of a monument dedicated to the memory of the victims of a massive landslide on Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border in 2011.
 
The minister familiarized himself with the construction of the collapsed road. He said thanks to the joint work of emergency situation ministry, rescuers, heads of villages it became possible to restore the road.
 
Five citizens of Armenia were killed as a result of the massive landslide on October 2, 2011.
 
Director general of Tchanaparh (Road) company Eduard Bezoyan said the 150-meters-long sector of the road had completely changed. "The implemented work was of fifth degree of complexity," Bezoyan said.
