Free Syrian Army asks for Armenian community help

The Free Syrian Army (FSA) has called upon the Armenian districts of capital Aleppo to assist its rebels.
In a video message posted on Facebook for the Christian residents of the city's Armenian populated areas, the Army said that they are heading towards the districts of al-Azizieh, al-Jamilieh and al-Midan.
The mobile telephony and the Internet have been shut down in Aleppo. The landline telephone networks operate with occasional interruptions.
A representative of Aleppo's Armenian community told Tert.am that government forces which tour the city have prohibited the population from leaving their houses or giving shelters to rebels.
Citing the Syrian opposition, Tert.am had earlier reported that the city's Jdayde district, which is a short distance from the Armenian National Prelacy, is under the rebels' occupation.
