The opening ceremony of the Baze (Falcon) all-Armenian young gathering took place in Armenia's resort town of Tsakhkadzor.Baze is marking its 10th anniversary.Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the town on the occasion.On behalf of Armenia's government, the premier congratulated all the participants."The movement's activities during the past decade have received the government's attention. This is a unique means of uniting our young people. The movement gives rise to new, interesting initiatives. In implementing our youth policy we pay attention to young people's initiatives. This, however, requires a platform for them to unite," Premier Tigran Sargsyan said.Karen Avagyan, Chairman of the Youth Foundation of Armenia, told journalists that the "idea of Baze is an idea of young people under a tricolor.""Baze is a school, its main aim being to unite young people round national values," Avadyan said.Following the opening ceremony, Premier Tigran Sargsyan and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan toured round the campsite.Donating blood is one of the Baze traditions.The Baze gathering will last until August 19. Among the participants are members from Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Nagorno-Karabakh, Javakhk, as well as 70 guests from the Armenian Diaspora.
