Zhoghovurd: Russia to double number of military servicemen in its Armenian bases

Russia is going to double the number of servicemen in its military bases deployed in Armenia by the end of the year.
 
Currently there are about five thousand contract servicemen there, with their number planned to reach 10 thousand by the end of the year.
 
The paper says it is quite remarkable if taking into consideration the developments ongoing in the region, in particular the situation in Syria, where the military intervention is not excluded.
