U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John A. Heffern and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan launched a joint anti-corruption awareness project at Zvartnots International Airport today.
The $77,000 project, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Security and Non-proliferation, is part of the “Joint Action Plan Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on Combating Smuggling of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials”.
The plan was signed by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in 2008.
