Mediators: Karabakh to join negotiations at ‘certain stage=?UTF-8?B?4oCZ?=

Nagorno-Karabakh will join the negotiation process at a "certain stage", said international mediators paying another visit to the conflict zone on Wednesday.

After meetings with Azerbaijani leaders in Baku earlier this week, the United States, Russian and French co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group crossed the heavily fortified line of contact between the Azeri and ethnic Armenian armed forces into Nagorno-Karabakh to meet with officials in this internationally unrecognized Armenian republic before continuing their regional visit in Yerevan.

During a meeting in Stepanakert Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan reportedly urged the mediating troika to continue trying to "bring Azerbaijan onto a constructive path." He also expressed hope that they will restore the "full-fledged format" of peace talks, meaning the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's direct participation in the negotiations on the settlement of the conflict.
