Head of Political Scientists=?UTF-8?B?4oCZIA==?=Union to run for parliament

Hmayak Hovhannisyan, the president of the Union of Political Scientists, is going to participate in parliamentary by-elections as a single mandate candidate.
Speaking to Tert.am, the politician said he has made the decision by the request of the Union's members and ordinary residents of Armenia.
"And their basic argument is that it is the only way to get rid of the wrong step which I made by running for parliament as a candidate of the Prosperous Armenia party," he said.
Asked how he found himself on a wrong track after his 20 years' experience in politics, Hovhannisyan answered: "A person failing to do anything never commits an error. You never know what's on another's mind."
Hovhannisyan will in all likelihood campaign for parliament in two constituencies – in capital Yerevan and Gyumri (in case there are by elections there).
He does not see any difference between the two cities in terms of nominating his candidacy.
Hovhannisyan promised to collaborate with all parliamentary factions in case of being elected.
