The MP Lyudmila Sargsyan, Chairperson of the Hnchakian Social Democrat Party, which is part of the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC), commented on the ANC ex-member David Shahnazaryan. She noted that the ANC remains committed to its principles, but has changed its strategy."We will continue our struggle and will eventually be able to restore constitutional order in the country, which is our main aim," she said."Keeping pace with the situation we regularly revise our strategy. I do not rule out Mr Shahnazaryan disagrees with our strategy. But I would not like to draw conclusions," L. Sargsyan said. The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is unable to play the ANC's role. "The ANC is the only opposition force, while it is up to the PAP to decide which side it takes. Time will show how it may behave," she said.L. Sargsyan disagrees with Shahnazaryan's opinion that the PAP may bring more stability into Armenia's life, with the ex-president Robert Koch aryan behind it. "Very different opinions can exist. Without ruling out anything, I do not think that Kocharyan has any political influence in the country," she said.In a recent statement, David Shahnazaryan said that the ANC has changed its policy and goals.
