Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan received on Thursday the Council of Europe's deputy secretary general, Gabriela Battaini.Congratulating the European official on taking office, the minister expressed belief that her activities in the Secretariat will promote a swift process of reforms.
The sides exchanged views over the current reforms in Armenia. Battaini told the foreign minister that the country has made a considerable progress in the spheres of human rights and rule of law and promised to continue the Council's assistance in further processes.
As Armenia is assuming presidency of the Council of Europe next year, the two officials also addressed issues relating to that process.
They further addressed the Armenia-Council of Europe 2012-2014 Action Plan and the priorities of reforms in the program's frameworks.
