US Government to spend $2 million on Georgian election

The United States Government is will spend around $2 million for monitor the parliamentary election in Georgia.
It is going to fund two organizations – the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) – for ensuring a free and fair environment during the polls, the Georgian news website Apsny.ge reported, citing the US ambassador in Tbilisi.Additionally, the country will send to the country more observers from both organizations on the voting day.
The ambassador has said that they are not assisting any political party or an individual candidate in this manner, the assistance being aimed only at developing a democratic culture in Georgia.
