State Department: Russia, U.S fail to agree on Georgia

Russia and the U.S have once again failed to agree on Georgia’s issues, U.S Deputy Secretary of State William Burns said in the House of Representatives at the U.S. Congress.

He said Washington’s supports for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, Trend reports.

There are differences in missile systems and Syria, Burns said.

In his speech, he mostly talked about Russia. Burns has paid special attention to Russia’s accession to the WTO and stressed that despite differences with Moscow, Georgia has supported Russia’s accession to the organization.

Concerning the anti-missile system, it is directed at safety of European partners of the United States, he said.
