Red light: Armenia limits entry for citizens of 40 African states

The Armenian government on Thursday granted the request of the National Security Service (NSS) to introduce new entry visa issuance procedures for citizens of 40 African states.

Under the decision, from now on citizens of most of the countries in Africa will be able to get Armenian visas only at Armenian diplomatic missions abroad and only on the basis of invitations.

So far, citizens of states like Angola, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Botswana, Congo, Zimbabwe, Chad and many others were able to get Armenian visas upon arriving in the country.
