Piranelli: "We need to get to bed as quickly as possible"

England bowed out of Euro 2012 after yesterday's 4-2 loss to Italy on penalty kicks.

Cesare Prandelli's team will lock horns with Germany in one of semi-finals. Portugal and Sp ain will go head to head in the other.

Despite the lack of goals after 90 minutes of play, plus an additional 30 of overtime, the Italians looked to be the better team with their attacks.

"Shoot-outs are always a game of chance but I believe we were worthy of winning. It's 80% luck," said a modest Prandelli. "Some players have mastered those kinds of situations but luck is the key factor."

Prandelli said that after the game, he telephoned Italy's President Giorgio Napolitano to congratulate him.
